About Dr. Mark Rosengarten
Dr. Mark Rosengarten is both a trained cosmetic surgeon as well as an obstetrician gynecologist. He is the first Gynecologist in B.C. to incorporate Liposelection into his practice. He is also one of the first physicians in Canada to do awake liposelection.
Dr. Rosengarten has received extensive cosmetic surgery training in minimally invasive cosmetic Liposelection in the United States. He has trained with luminaries in the field, in both Miami Florida and in Scottsdale Arizona. He is currently performing this surgery out of the Cambie Surgery Centre.
The transition into cosmetic surgery evolved as a result of repeated requests from his patients to help them regain their body shape following childbirth. After many years of extensive research looking at the various technologies available, Dr. Rosengarten found the answer in the VASER®, SmartLipo® and VelashapeII® procedures.
Training and Associations
Dr. Mark Rosengarten completed his training in medicine in Johannesburg South Africa in 1987. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia and obtained his fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1995. He has been practicing in Vancouver ever since.
He is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UBC. He is an active member of the Department and is involved in both teaching as well as clinical practice. He sits on many committees within the Department.
Dr. Rosengarten is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, The Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada and the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecologists.
About Our Practice
Dr. Rosengarten's obstetric practice encompasses an entire range of obstetrical care, ranging from uncomplicated well pregnancies to high-risk pregnancies with multiple complications.
His gynecological surgery is performed at St. Paul’s Hospital. Along with performing general gynecological surgery, Dr. Rosengarten has extensive training and experience in performing minimally invasive endoscopic surgery. He has been trained to perform advanced laparoscopic techniques.
